Grades:          9, 10, 11, 12
Materials:       Students must bring two sharpened #2 pencils, a watch and a calculator
Snack:            Students may bring a light disposable snack and bottled water.

Workshop Description
This  five hour workshop, designed with ACT’s input, will help students prepare for the ACT portion of the Michigan Merit Exam (MME) and for the national ACT.  During the workshop, students will:

• Learn specifically how the ACT score and GPA impact college admission and scholarships.
• Build ACT test familiarity, pacing skill and confidence, and reduce test anxiety.
• Learn proven “ACT With Writing” test-taking and essay strategies.
• Take an authentic, full-length (3½ hour) “ACT With Writing” practice test and essay.
• Learn a simple, proven self-help method for further improving practice, or “real”, ACT scores.

A special feature of the workshop is students will receive their practice test scores at the end of the workshop.  Writing scores and a workshop summary are emailed to parents within 2-3 days.

ACT Test Dates (National and MME): Sept.13,  Oct.25,  Dec.13,  Feb.7,  Mar.10(MME),  Apr.4,  June 13.
